Conversations at the Cabin: Holding to Love During Difficult Times of Negativity
Aaron: I am Aaron. My love to you. I am incorporated, but lightly so, so Barbara can hear. I trust you, that if there’s any danger to Barbara with the storm, to wake her up. I will hear, too. (sounds of thunder and rain)
A loyal opposition delights in fear, pain, disasters. That of the negative persuasion wants people to be afraid, to contract, to dim their light through contraction.
(Barbara, you must back away a bit. I know you want to hear, but you’re interfering with my ability to speak.)
Think of a country where there is some kind of war—Ukraine, for example. The people back near the Polish border, for example, there’s war there. There’s threat of bombings and so forth, but it’s a more distant and diminished threat. For the people in Donbas, for example, on the front lines, there’s a bigger threat.
For centuries, the war, if I could phrase it that way, the fight, has been pushing closer and closer, pushing you closer to the front lines.
When you’re on the front lines, there must be an extraordinary amount of love and courage to come through. To face the destruction around you, the pain, the suffering, the loss of life, the seeming futility, and to greet that with love.
One of the things that I have really enjoyed about President Zelensky is the amount of courage and love he brings to this fight. He is not running scared. He continues to hold a clear, loving face and say, “No, you can’t do this.”
Here we have a very old soul who truly came into the incarnation for this work, not knowing how it was going to play out, not conscious of what he was going to do. But because of his karma of past lifetimes, knowing before his incarnation that there was going to be some major work for him to do, and that he would hold a central space that would help people not only in his own country but all over the world, to hold a torch of freedom and light.
All of you have come in in the same way—not destined to become the president of a country, but destined to face the challenges with as much love as you can. This is really the only answer to negativity, to just say, “No, you cannot do this.” Not said with hatred, never with hatred.
If there is fear, you cannot deny the fear, but you learn how to work with the fear, and to rest in the one who is not afraid. Knowing the actuality of fear, but not caught up in the stories of fear, and thus, not contracting too much, and not feeding energy to negative polarity.
All of you are going to be pushed even further on this. I do not expect this is what will happen in the future; this is my deep consideration: that the storm is going to get worse before it passes, because that’s the way of storms.
“When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high, and don’t be afraid of the dark…” That’s all you can do.
But if you are serious about not contributing to the devolution of polarity but upholding a raising of polarity and light, then each time you see contraction arise in yourself and in your friends and neighbors, and you answer that contraction with love, with caring, with compassion, it diminishes the pull of negativity. It is the only way I know to speak to negativity. It is what you were born for.
Mary is here. She offers her love. Mary, would you wish to speak?
Mary (B): My love to you, dear one. I am Mary. I’ve watched him hang on that cross, bleeding and in pain. Not really suffering, but certainly in great pain. I know he was not afraid, that he knew that he had the power and love to come through as had been planned.
Let me say it differently. I said I knew he was not afraid; I knew he was not caught in fear, but certainly fear arose. And he had the capacity, each time the story of fear arose, to say, “No, I will not be pulled into this fear, and drowned in it.”
The one who is awake is here. The one who is awake is here, and so present and filled with love. You will not be drowned in the fear, in sorrows, in confusion and in all the ancient stories of helplessness.
You are strong. You are awake, and you are beautiful. And you have planned this for so long—coming now, in these days, to a head. Light and darkness no longer able to just brush by each other without too much attention but crashing into each other. Light is the strongest.
I watched him there on the cross, and it broke my heart. It tore me apart. I knew that the only thing I could do was to love him and to love the light and to say no to the darkness. And that I could not hate those soldiers who hung him there, those politicians who hung him there; I could only love. And this is all you can do.
There will possibly be windstorms and firestorms, even violence. It seems a real possibility, if Mr. Trump is elected, that there will be violence. It seems a real possibility if he is not elected that there will be violence.
The country is so divided, and the only way to heal that division is to hear—to hear the pain of your friends and of your neighbors and of the opposition.
I do not find it to be true or accurate that the country is 50-50 on matters like abortion and gun control and so forth. I think there are far more people who would stand up for abortion, who would oppose the use of guns, the fast-acting guns. And yet, if only one in ten chooses arms and weapons and hatred, how do you say no to that?
And if that draws people into more violence, then the whole thing is going to continue to devolve.
The only answer I know is to hear—to really engage in dialogues with those who disagree with you.
Now, it’s hard, because all they do is say, “Now, this is how it is!” and they can’t hear.
But if you listen, and you are wise and compassionate, you can say, “I hear your concerns. I disagree with you, but I hear your concerns. Since we disagree, how do you suggest we resolve this? What ways are there to allow everybody to be more at peace and make their own decisions?”
You ask gentle, leading questions. Gradually, you invite dialogue. So much has been recently learned up about non-violent communication that many people have been learning, and so forth. There are so many pieces that are fitting together.
In our upcoming book, one of the things we want to make clear is this is not just about Earth, or even this universe, but an entire galaxy watching, with the question: can love endure and overcome hatred and negativity? Can light burn that bright?
You all came from a deeply committed place into this succession of human incarnations. You are an army of love.
You have not always lived with love. Each of you has at some point been part of the negative group and shifted. Let me say this more clearly. You came in with the intention to love, but you did not know how to do it, and so you became overcome by the wave of negativity, pulled into it, until you remembered, “No, that’s not who I am,” and then you drew out of that. You recommitted yourself. You got yourself back on track.
Every voice is essential. Every heart is essential. Love will endure. Love will overcome.
But it will not be easy. And there will continue to be severe pain; people wiped out by bombs, by wildfire, by floods, by the destruction of the earth in so many ways.
The important, the essential thing is to remember the power that you have, each of you, millions of you, to love.
This will be a core of the book, and also a core of our classes this year. We’ll be talking about some of the issues that we’re addressing in the book in class; talking about some of what we talk about in class in the book.
In class, we want to address divine masculine and feminine non-duality, because a deep experiential understanding of non-duality is so important to living from the wise and compassionate heart.
There must be recognition that right there with that wise heart is the ignorant and the forgetful heart. Right there with the compassionate heart is the terrified heart. If you understand this is part of the human experience, you will not be so caught up in it. You’ll be able much more easily to break free and remember your truth.
So that, for me, will be a focus of my participation in this fall class.
Now it seems maybe it has passed (the storm)… Do you have questions? (No.) Then let us end here. My love to you, and we’ll talk tomorrow. I love you. I look forward to more time to talk with you this week.
I’ll return the body to Barbara.
Barbara: Thank you, Mary. Thank you, Aaron.
