Remembering We are Each the Christ, the Awakened One; Light Co-Creation; Christmas Stories

Barbara: A blessed afternoon to you all. It’s good to see all of your faces, people from all over the world. For those who don’t know my husband Hal—Hal, will you wave a hand? And that’s Lester (the cat) on his lap. Hal is in our living room, where all of this started back in 1989.

Christmas Eve… It’s such a meaningful day to me. Of course, Yeshua was not specifically born on December 25th. But the coming of Light to the world, and all of us as that coming of Light, certainly did happen.

So much of what Aaron came through to teach us is about knowing ourselves as light and doing what’s needed to bring forth that light in ourselves, to release that light and ground it into the Earth.

So, it’s just a joy to come together. We no longer can come together in person. And even if we could, we really can’t do it because we have people on several continents here. Not all in Ann Arbor, but even not all in the United States.

Many of you, but maybe not all, know Colette, who will be channeling this with me. Colette, thank you so much for participating today.

I’m going to let Aaron come in and talk. And I want to say, as Barbara, that I’m wearing my favorite Christmas sweater, which is about 25 years old, but I have to stand up and let you see the snowmen… Okay, Aaron will come in.

Aaron: My blessings and love to you all. I am Aaron. Barbara’s voice is a bit hoarse, but I believe you can still hear me okay.

This season is an annual reminder to me of the commitment that each of us make when we come into human incarnation again and yet again, to come forth knowing our light and bringing that light into the earth plane as best we can.

Some lifetimes were more challenging than others. Sometimes we succeeded in bringing forth more light; others, not quite so much. It is the intention that’s so important.

As humans we have free will, and that means the free will to live the light that we are or to move into some experience of darkness. And we have free will to do that. Perhaps we have to experience the darkness for a while. Perhaps we experience darkness and bring forth darkness to help others see the distinction and know the light.

Twenty-five hundred years ago, the Earth was in a period of darkness. There was a, let’s call it a great celestial movement to take better care of the Earth. To help ground more light into the Earth. And many beings came to support that in different ways.

For Yeshua to take birth, we go back to Anna — who I think is going to speak today — his grandmother, who came forth knowing the practices of light creation and to teach them so that his birth as a light being could come, and so that the power of that light could ground itself into the Earth.

Through these two thousand years there have been times of greater light and greater darkness, as will always happen. For me, the important thing is that each being know him- or herself as light. Every time, you have a choice, to choose love and the highest good of all beings or to move into a self-centered, more fearful mode of being, close yourself off, separate and move into darkness.

It’s not that it’s bad to enter darkness. You’re programmed as a human to do that sometimes. The importance here is that you start to know your free will choice, and consciously know, “Ah, contracting, closing down, moving into fear.” Mindfulness knows this and says, “No, not now. I choose love. I choose light.”

Yeshua has said to us we’re not so much celebrating his birth as all of our births into light, knowing truly who and what we are, and celebrating our birth as light beings filled with love, that have the potential to bring such light to the Earth.

Each time you’re faced with a challenging catalyst—a physical one where there’s body pain, a mental one, an emotional one—each time you’re faced with such a catalyst and you consciously hold that catalyst in front of you and look at it and say, “Hello, teacher. I greet you with love,” each time you’re able to do that, it changes everything.

The human is the only creature in the universe who has the kind of free will you all possess. And it is this conscious choosing of light and love again, and yet again, and again, that makes the Earth such an important place in this universe, in the multiverse.

The whole ground for Earth was the intention that conscious beings with free-will choice could move beyond their fear and separation and know themselves as love and light.

There have been many beings throughout time who have come to remind us of this. Yeshua, to my mind and heart, is, I will not say the primary but a primary teacher of light and love, and I love him very much.

Many of you have heard my Christmas stories, perhaps read my book, 47 Stories of Jesus. Many of you knew him two thousand years ago or at some other time. Many of you throughout your long history have known other such beings of light.

On this Christmas Day, we celebrate light and love and the essence of our being as totally interconnected and grounded in light. And we commit that light literally into the elements of the Earth, that the Earth may flourish as a place of light.

Thank you. I will have more to say, but at this point I want to just invite in Yeshua. I think actually Colette is going to channel him right now. It may be that Barbara will also channel him, that he’ll go back and forth, or that others will come in. We’ll see who wants to share, as we have this dialogue together — dialogue, trialogue, I don’t know what it is called when it’s five or six beings.

I am Aaron, and I greet you in love and in light. I’ll release the body to Barbara and pass the microphone on to Colette. Thank you.

Colette: Hello, everyone. Thank you for joining us. I never know what’s going to happen at these things! We get together with spirit and we chat and we say, “Well, maybe we’ll do this, or we’ll do that.” But you know, when we get together, it’s improv! So, I hand it over to Yeshua. Give me a moment…

Yeshua (C): My beloved ones, I am Yeshua. I greet each of you as the Christ, because that is what you are.

As Aaron said, there have been many beings that have come to be an example of Christ consciousness, and to show you that this is who you are as well.

So we are fellow Christs. We are fellow bodhisattvas. Some have called us Christ Magdalenes. But all of us here are committed to serve.

As Aaron mentioned, there are various cosmic seasons or cycles within the universe, and the Earth is currently in an important cosmic season within this solar system. This cosmic season of intensified vibrational frequencies provides a grounding to bring forth beings such as myself, who come to walk with you, to companion with you, to remind you of who you are.

You know that the concepts of the historical Christ have been very distorted in several spiritual traditions. This is a natural human tendency. A primary distortion comes from the idea of separation — that this being, an enlightened one, this great teacher came to walk among us, but is somehow different from us. Yet I came to walk with you, to companion with you.

So, I invite to you to do that. Let us walk together. Although I am the one who was the historical Christ, each of you are the Christ as well. We are friends.

You may think, “Oh, that’s nice, Yeshua. But I’m so far away from being the Christ right now. I’m angry, I’m frustrated, I’m scared. I just got in an argument with someone,” —choose what you will; these are neither here nor there. They are simply blips in your experience.

So when you are feeling this way, move into awareness, center yourself, open your heart chakra and embody your Christ consciousness. Well, you cannot be otherwise, but you lose it. You lose your connection to it.

You have seen so many depictions of saints and myself with halos. Well, when you open your heart chakra, you actually glow! So, remember that when you are walking through your day, that you can open your heart chakra and you can be the Christ in every moment. Perfection not required. But open the heart chakra.

I’m sure most of you know the difference between what it feels like when the heart chakra is open and the energy flowing and when it’s closed. When you are contracted and your heart chakra is closed, just stop for a moment…no judgment, nothing needed… just, “Ah, it is closed. Let me open it.”

And however you do that, however you unlock that heart chakra, breathe that into the earth, into your environment, and walk with that. In this way, you bring Christ consciousness into every moment. And in each moment, no matter what it may be, even if it’s difficult, you can be the Christ.

So, I will release the body to Colette. We will continue this conversation. My love to you. I am Yeshua. Thank you for joining us.

Yeshua (B): Once again, I am Yeshua, and I continue in this body. So much planning came into this birth. But once I came in as human, I was human. I did not remember all the planning, what I was supposed to feel or do. I was a baby; I felt cold, I felt hunger. I longed for a parent’s loving arms. I longed to be fed and comforted. I connected to the feelings, of the experiences, of humans.

As a boy, I did feel times of anger and fear, as I said a few minutes ago. I was blessed with loving parents who did not chastise me for feeling anger but helped me to remember who I was. When I say who I was, not just what I was here to do, but that I was here to be an energy of love as are all beings

Some of you had loving parents. All of you had loving parents, but some of you had parents who did not know how to express that love, did not know how to support you in your love, and so you became a bit lost. You experienced pain, anger, negativity, and you didn’t know what to do with it.

I think this learning is the most important thing for Earth right now, that we all remember, all of us, that we are divine, and that we are one, not separate. That we have free will choice in every moment. When there is anger, fear, and darkness, to remember, “I am love. I am a living Christ.” Christ is just a term that means “awakened one.” Yes, you are the living Awakened One, who still has forgotten that’s who you are, so you’re in a process of remembering.

As we come together to celebrate Christmas, we celebrate remembering that awakened consciousness that is the essence of each of us and consecrate our energy and our hearts to living that awakenedness.

I was blessed to have loving people around me. My parents, of course. My grandmother, Anna — and perhaps she will speak a bit here today. My friend Aaron, and Aaron’s father, who was a great Awakened One come here to help bring me forth, to help support all the loving energies and teach that love.

Aaron, in those days, was named Nathaniel. He was a few years older than me. His father, I would not say posed as a shepherd; he was genuinely a shepherd, although he was so much more. He was a shepherd to all beings, not just the sheep. But he taught Nathaniel. And when I was permitted to go out to the hills with Nathaniel, he taught me what it meant to be a shepherd.

What does it mean to you to be a shepherd?

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the dates don’t matter but remembering this in your heart on an annual basis, to reconsecrate your energy: “I choose to be that shepherd of light to the Earth.”

I’m going to release the body here, and transfer back to Colette so that Barbara may bring forth Aaron and Aaron and I can dialogue.

I am Yeshua. I will return. I hold you in my heart. I am Yeshua.

Yeshua (C): I am Yeshua. I am with you. I learned many things from my friend Aaron (Nathaniel) and from his father, who was a great master.

As I said, I came into human life just as you do. When I went with Aaron in the fields, he would teach me how to be with the sheep. I was not a natural-born shepherd! There were so many other things that were more interesting to do. And Aaron would say, “Yeshua, pay attention! We have got to do this. This sheep is wandering off — go get it!”

So I learned some very basic things: how to pay attention and be responsible, and how to tune in to the sheep, because they’re quite emotional and intuitive beings. All beings are that way as well, but sheep are very tender and easily frightened and become anxious. So that was wonderful, wonderful training for me.

I also learned so much from Aaron’s father, a great enlightened being, that it’s beyond expressing. I was so grateful for that family.

So, Aaron, where shall we start in sharing our stories?

Aaron: I am Aaron. My love to you, Yeshua. I embrace you. It was a stormy night. I was maybe eleven and Yeshua, six. I was responsible for him. We had the thunder and wind was blowing, and there was one lamb missing.

We had gathered the rest of the sheep into a kind of enclosure. I could not leave Yeshua, could not leave this six-year-old alone, so I took him with me.

After a while of searching, I said, “We are going to have to abandon this lamb, trust that he will be okay, and go back to the others and shelter ourselves.”

And Yeshua said, “Oh no, we will not abandon him.” He was adamant: “We will not abandon him.”

He began to climb down a cliff, and I was terrified for Yeshua’s safety. But he was agile, and he climbed down. I followed him. We heard a mewling sound, and there in a hole in the rocks was our lamb, having fallen a bit. Not injured, but stuck.

Yeshua climbed down and lifted him, put him under his cloak against his own flesh to warm him. I had a rope with me and was able to pull Yeshua out, Yeshua holding the lamb. And he looked at me and said, “See, Nathaniel? We did not have to abandon him. We do not abandon anything.” And he said it with such force and clarity. “We do not abandon anything. Love does not abandon anything.”

I’ve often remembered those words; how clear he was. How that intention lived with him through his life. He, Yeshua, would not abandon anything or anyone. Thank you, Yeshua. I pass this to you.

Yeshua (C): I remember that so clearly. As I was searching for the lamb, it was a very cold, rainy, windy night. It was dark. There were no stars. I sensed that this lamb had moved off to the side of this cliff. Being so determined, I didn’t have the common sense to be afraid to climb over and did not stop to think, “Well, what happens if I fall off the cliff?”!

But I was quite intent and quite stubborn, and I knew that Nathaniel was so concerned that I was going to fall off the cliff.

I learned two things from that experience. One is that we don’t abandon anything. Others may abandon us, they may choose their own way. But we stay committed.

I also learned that I had support and that I had help. And that sometimes it is necessary to have faith in a vision when things are dark and frightening, because I did not know how I would rescue the lamb, yet I was just intent on doing that.

There may be times when you yourself do not know how you will get through a situation. You may feel that you have no support. You may feel that you are going off the edge of a cliff, either because of a decision you made or a situation. But tune in and trust yourself, and invite help and it will be there.

We have many other stories to share, so I will pass this on to my friend, my brother.

Aaron: Thank you, Yeshua. I am Aaron. We were blessed with many beautiful teachers. One who especially touched my heart was Anna. I’m going to transfer the body to Anna and let her speak to you a bit in her own words. I am Aaron.

Why do we say our names each time we come in and leave? This is the energetic imprint within the name, and it helps to stabilize the whole channeling. And so, each time one of us comes in to the body, we announce our name and, upon leaving, again. I am Aaron.

Anna (B): And I am the one who was called Anna. I was blessed to come into this human experience to be a grandmother to Yeshua, mother to Mary.

It was something deeply planned for many centuries before my birth — not really birth, because I was a walk-in, walked into a body that was dying, and by prearrangement, I would take over that body.

I understood this plan on the higher planes, but to actually walk into the body and experience suddenly, as a young girl, the harsh reality of the earth plane, was something different. It was terrifying. It was painful.

I could not quite understand who I was. I could not remember why I was here. But the older ones who were my teachers, they were around me and helping support, as such loving ones are with you today, helping to support your path, as many beings helped to support my path.

There was a vision of the Brothers and Sisters of Light that an Awakened One, a very old soul, would come into this earth plane through light conception—which we knew. It was not something new; we understood it. But it had not been so much practiced among humans, and we had to teach it and teach people how to use light conception.

But it’s not such a strange idea. Imagine yourself wanting to make a pot of soup. You can do it in a very mundane way, hastily gathering ingredients, cutting them up, throwing them into the water, mind busy elsewhere. And you’ll probably make a pot of adequate soup.

Or, you can deeply give yourselves to the ingredients and the process. Holding each ingredient, thanking it, and adding it consciously to the soup pot. Blessing the soup that it may serve in a very nutritious, wholesome, tasty way for many beings. And that’s in a way a kind of light conception. Creating the soup from a place of light within you. It’s not so different to come together to co-create anything, including a living being.

There were a number of centuries of learning and practicing, teaching the young women and men who would work with this process of light conception. And finally, we come to the readiness for the conception of Yeshua, born of Light.

But I want to say here that all of you — even if your parents were somewhat ignorant, even if they were harsh and cold in some ways — you could not have been conceived if there was not light as part of it.

I would invite you, my friends, to practice conscious light conception with the simple things in your life. To bring an idea into being. To bring the soup into being. To bring a friendship into being by conceiving it in your heart and helping it grow in light.

And then I would invite you to consider this planet of yours, which has moved into a separated place of fear in many ways, and to ask, in what ways can I conceive of this planet, this dear Earth, as growing into the light and expressing the wholeness, radiance, and joy which are the essence of Earth experience? Can you commit yourself to that?

It means looking at the places of contraction and fear in yourself. Simply bowing to them and saying, “Thank you, teacher, but I am not going to let fear control my choices. Not going to let anger or negativity of any sort control my choices. I am born into the light. I choose the light. And in my response to this or that catalyst, seeing the options before me, I choose the light.” And thus, we are all light-conceiving this Earth and thereby nurturing the seeds that Yeshua planted.

Yeshua, I pass this to you. I am Anna.

Yeshua (C): I am Yeshua. As Anna was speaking, memories were coming to me of my delight in my Grandmama Anna, as I used to call her. I was not the easiest grandchild to deal with, that’s for sure! (laughing) But Grandmama Anna knew quite well how to rein me in, if you will, and with great love. I was not born completely disciplined, as none of us are.

As Anna mentioned about light conception, everything is in a way light-conceived, light-created, because there isn’t anything else other than light. Without light, nothing would exist.

When speaking about light conception/creation, it is often thought to pertain just to conceiving a child, such as the energetic way in which I came into Mary’s womb without the act of sexual intercourse, without a sperm fertilizing an egg.

But you are all capable of co-creation through light conception. What makes that possible is your intention and your focus. As Anna said, this could be simply making a pot of soup. It could be writing a book. It could be creating a business. It could be nurturing a relationship. Whatever it is, you can bring intentionality into that which is grounded in your inner commitment.

Intentionality means that as things are unfolding, you continue to have meta-awareness. You seek wisdom, you attune to your intuition, you remain part of the co-creative process, whether it is about a relationship, or a business, whatever it may be.

What humans tend to do is just to live life responding to stimuli, to the environment, to events, to the other people they meet and their relationships. They are on automatic.

For those who are conscious co-creators—at the basic level everything is a co-creation—but, to be mindful, to be conscious with intention for light conception means that you continue to be in awareness and to reflect with honesty. Not judgment — judgment is different — but with honesty and discernment continue to refine your choices, to refine your actions. It’s always a work in progress.

As you move into this season of celebration, of remembrance, I invite you to say to yourself, “Ah, let us stop with all the frantic living, all the frantic energies, and just settle in. Know who we are. Touch into our hearts.”

Ask yourself: What moves me? What opens my heart? What things bring joy?

The world is in deep distress, and so it’s easy to think that you shouldn’t desire or experience joy. Or if you do, that you should feel guilty about it because how can it be right to have joy when there is great suffering?

But, my friends, joy is the prime mover, the energy of Source! Source constantly creates in bliss and joy. I am not saying that you have to access ecstasy at every moment, but it is always there.

When you touch your kitty’s nose, or pet their ear, or touch the face of a loved one, or plant a flower, or peel the potato for the soup, or clean the toilet—it doesn’t matter what it is—can you bring your presence, your joy, your bliss, your gratitude, and come into the moment? Because truly, all that ever exists is this moment.

So often you are enveloped in emotions and are responding to things that didn’t happen or might happen. When you move consciously into the moment, it is there you that light-conceive. It is there you open your heart. It is there you change the world, one moment at a time.

I am Yeshua. I love you. I will release the body to Colette and pass this conversation on.

Aaron: I am Aaron. I thank you, Yeshua. So, a story that I’ve told before, but it bears retelling.

It was a very bitter night, raining hard — sleeting, really. We were cold and hungry. A farmer offered Yeshua and this small band of us to rest in his barn. We had some robes or blankets. We settled down. But the barn roof leaked terribly. We could barely find any dry space. We huddled together as best we could.

The next morning, we went to the farmer’s house and found — his wife is the one that had granted us permission — found the farmer. He had fallen and broken his leg. He could not care for his crops, his animals. He could not repair his barn roof.

Yeshua turned to us and said, “Before we go on, let us repair the roof.”

There were, stashed there in the barn, some of the grasses and other materials that were needed to repair the roof. They were sharp leaves that could cut your hands. They needed to be woven together, into long, overlapping fronds. It was a skill that many of us had. Very hard work.

Yeshua could have stayed in the barn in relative comfort while we worked, but he was right up there on the roof with us, right in the center of it, his hands bleeding along with ours.

Finally, the roof was repaired. We had collected some of the crops the farmer had not been able to collect, and the animals were inside the barn with us in shelter.

Yeshua asked us to come up to him one at a time to thank us, and he took each of our hands, our bleeding hands cut from the sharp fronds. I know he had the ability to take these hands and just clear the sores, but he did not do that. He just held our hands and looked into our eyes and said, “Thank you for creating this healing of the barn with me, this gathering of the food so this family will not starve. Thank you.” And he held each of us, holding our hands, hugging us.

We went to sleep. The muscle ache that would have taken days to heal from that hard work, and the cuts on the hands that would have taken days, in the morning when I woke, my body felt good. My hands were healed.

And I came to him and said, “Did you do this?”

He said, “No, you did it. You co-create the radiance and love within yourself, and then it is shared to the world. You did it.”

Yeshua, we are still doing that in an ongoing way. And I know you are guiding the effort for all of us.

It’s so beautiful to see the world evolving. And sometimes it seems like it’s collapsing. There are terrible wildfires and earthquakes, slaughter by guns of this group and that. So much hatred, so much pain.

But I know that we have the capacity to love, and this is why we came into the incarnation. And I know you are with us and guiding us, as you did two thousand years ago. And I thank you so much for that and for your presence.

Thank you for the love shown by coming into an incarnation that was going to be hard and end up with real pain. For being willing to carry this with us and teach us how to carry it so that the light that is our true being could come forth.

I love you, my friend. Thank you. I am Aaron.

Yeshua (C): I am Yeshua. Thank you, my beloved friend. Thank you, my beloved brother.

Each one of you, as I said before, is the Christ. As you walk encapsulated in your own beingness—in this particular body, in this society with these roles and these responsibilities—remember that in the realms of light, in the realms of energy, there is no limitation. Time and space does not exist as you experience it.

So, as you walk with that open heart, with that intention, you may not see or have awareness that your energy, that your love changes something in Gaza, or changes something in Ethiopia or New York, or in Montana, in Mexico. You are not aware that it changes, but it does. Because as you are the light and you bring that intentionally into your beingness, that light exists in the energetic field that all can access.

Others move into that energy field without even knowing it and so cannot work within it.

But you have awareness and understand what you are putting into the energy field. You are the conscious ones, the lightworkers, the Christ, who are moving with intention, who are co-creating.

While I did not heal Aaron’s hands or the others’ hands, I added my energy, my love to the energetic field. And this combined with their own energy and love at a deep level beyond their conscious awareness, and so we co-created this healing together. No one unilaterally heals another, changes another, fixes an economic system or heals the environment. But all of you together can do so.

Even if you had a physical incapacity and all you could do is to sit in your wheelchair and do very limited things, you could still change the world. You could add to the changing of the world with your intention and with your love.

So, I know we are within our hour and I want to allow Aaron or others to wrap this up. But I say thank you. Thank you for taking birth. Thank you for being brave. Thank you for sticking it out even through all the times you wished to say, “I’m out of here!” Colette often says, “I’m done—beam me up, Scotty! Tear up the contracts, please.”

But, you have come. You are the Christ within your own environment. Walk as the Christ. Be as the Christ. Radiate as the Christ. And have hope that you are co-creating. What you see is not the final outcome. The distress is a phase. A necessary one. All beings co-create. But co-create the new world, my friends, with love. This is what the Christ does.

I am Yeshua. I greet you on this Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, birthday—mine, yours, and the new world’s. I love you.

Yeshua (B): I am Yeshua, and I continue here through Barbara’s body.

I did not just walk the earth two thousand years ago. I continue to walk the earth every day, every moment, through you, through the gift that you have given.

Interesting, a big blurb on the screen says, “It sounds like you may have switched to a different language. Please update so I can provide better quality transcription.” It says it sounds like I’m speaking Malay. Well, Barbara’s speech and Colette’s speech are different! If you will please be patient with my Malay speech, I hope you can understand me.

I continue to walk the earth. I am right there in your heart. I am the awakened consciousness in your heart, looking at tough situations that come before you. Looking at the place of pain, fear, misunderstanding, grief, and helping you find that radiance that is your true essence, because you are born of love, of light.

The beautiful thing that you can do now, your Christmas present to the world, is to remember who you are and bring forth that light repeatedly. Especially when something pushes you, to stop, and instead of pushing back, to hold the space and remember, “I am the Awakened One. I am Love. And yes, I may feel rage. I may feel terror. But right there with those heavy emotions is the possibility to love, to hold the situation with love. To hold it in the light and not be consumed with negativity.”

Each time you do this, you are planting light into the Earth. And this is the gift of your incarnation, this is truly why you came.

So yes, celebrate my birth — I love birthday parties. Celebrate your own birth into the light as well. Know yourself as a being of light and that you always have free will choice.

And it is not shameful if you get caught up in the stories of anger or fear. It’s not bad. It’s simply proof of your being human.

But you always have the opportunity to step back with mindfulness and to see yourself, just using the words, “caught, caught.”

Aaron uses the image of the fish. He’s swimming around and he sees a worm drop into the water, a big wiggly worm. “Ooo!” He grabs at it. (chomp!) Caught! He shakes that hook loose, swims around for a while. Says, “I won’t do that again.” And then, here’s another worm. “Ooo, look at that one!” (chomp!) Caught!

How many times will you do it? At what point do you see that worm of judgment, of rage, of fear, and say, “I am going to mindfully hold space for this emotion within this human and not get hooked. I’m going to bring love to the potential pain of experience for myself and all humans and heal this,” which is exactly what I did, no different.

As I did, you can do, always. I did not come to do it for you but to help you remember how to do it.

So, let this be your birthday gift, if you wish to give me one: to be mindful and to trust yourself, and to know that you can co-create love on this earth plane in your personal experiences and in the wider world.

May there be love. May there be light. May you have all the blessings of this holy season.

I am Yeshua, and I hold you in my heart. I cherish you, each of you, and I am always available to you to help you in every way. Call on me. Call on the Awakened One, the Christ within you, and know that you are complete, that you are Love.

I embrace you. I am Yeshua. I’ll leave this body to Barbara.

Barbara: Thank you, Yeshua. I am looking at the blurb on the screen that says I’m speaking Malay? Yeshua said he noted that. I hope my speech was relatively clear!

So, our love to everybody. If I had a good singing voice, I would sing a beautiful carol right now, but I don’t. I will not impose my voice upon you.

But, may our hearts all be filled with light love this Christmas. May we all find deep joy in our families, our friends, and in our own sacred selves.

Aaron is suggesting, he says that his Christmas story — Aaron, probably everybody here has read this. The story that he told of his experience of the first Christmas. I’m going to ask, is there anyone here who has not heard that story or read it? (pause) Aaron’s nudging me, that I read it. Okay, Aaron. This is in Aaron’s words.

At the time of the birth of Yeshua, I was a young boy, five years old. I was a shepherd dwelling in the hills with my father and mother. Walking for some days with my father, we were drawn to Bethlehem.

It was a very peaceful scene that night. We sat wrapped in a blanket by a fire. My father and the other men told stories.

Later, the night grew very still. In the near distance, there was a very brilliant star. We all saw it. Below in the valley, some distance away, was Bethlehem. Never had I seen a star like that before, nor, I would assume, had the elders.

Never had I seen a star like that before, nor, I would assume, had the elders, because they all grew quiet. As it grew brighter, some felt afraid. But most felt a deep sense of peace and wonder.

You have seen how a full moon shines on a snowy place, the way everything seems lit up. That star did the same thing. The whole scene seemed lit in the distance. There was such a deep sense of peace, such a brilliance to the light, and music seemed to fill the ear, not heard with our ears but with our hearts.

Through all the lives I’ve lived, including time spent in between lifetimes, it has been enough for me just to remember the love and wonder of that moment. It seemed that a doorway between Heaven and Earth had briefly opened, and that some of Heaven was pouring through into the Earth.

We were drawn by it as by a magnet, to descend the hills and approach the town. We did not go all the way but stood on the hill perhaps a mile away.

It was a night unlike I had ever know before or since. The air was filled with angelic presences, which in itself was not unusual. The air is often filled with spirit, loving spirit. What was unusual was the strength of this being who was coming through to Earth. Even those who would have been skeptical of the existence of such a being could sense the strength of the energy that was present, and the love radiating. And so, many were in awe of this being, having some sense that this was someone special.

My strongest memory is one of deep peace and profound joy, that something had happened far beyond the understanding of the young boy that I was, something that would profoundly change the world.

Some went all the way to town, others stayed closer to the flocks on the hillside. But no matter where you were, this light permeated everything. I cannot say it came just from that star. It seems almost as if the earth itself glowed. We were in awe. Many of the adults began to pray.

We sat there for many hours. Some of those who had gone into the town began to return. I was dozing by this time, but I still heard the faint words of elders near me, in the still, early morning hours. “A child is born. They call him Prince of Peace. They say that his light will change the world.”

And then I remember my father’s strong arms lifted me up and carried me back up the hill to our fires. I slept with a sense of joy and peace as I had never known before and rarely since. A sense that somehow much that had been wrong with the world was going to be righted. That a new hope was offered to the world.

Although they did not see each other very often, my father, Joseph, and Mary were friends and brothers in the Essene spiritual community. The next day, I had the opportunity to walk with my father to see the baby, Yeshua. I brought him an orphaned lamb as a gift.

This visit was a great blessing to me. I was given the opportunity to hold the blessed infant, and there was such a deep joy in his presence. I could feel from him a sense of love and profound peace.

He did not cry or move around in the way many newborns do. I’m sure that when he was hungry or uncomfortable, he gave voice to his needs. But mostly he was still and radiated peace.

He met my eyes with a deep, loving focus. And then, you know his history. His family took him away for reasons of safety and I did not see him again for several years.

Mary asked me to keep the lamb for him, and it was my joy to do so and to return that lamb to Yeshua, grown and healthy, when we met again.

May you have all the joy of this dawning of light within you and through the world.

May you be an instrument of light, as you came to be, of compassion, of awakening.

May this season see us entering a new year where there is less suffering on Earth and greater love.

Thank you, Aaron, for that beautiful story.

May all of us offer that lamb to Yeshua, the lamb of our own love and joy and peace.

Wishing to all of you a beautiful Christmas, yourselves with family and friends, or whatever way you’re celebrating.

Me, speaking as Barbara, just a joy to be with you all and to share the blessings of this season with you, whatever you’re celebrating in all different spiritual paths, the heart of love. I love you.

Thank you, Colette, for sharing this event and working with us today. It’s fun to pass this back and forth in this way, so I really appreciate your presence.

That’s all from me. Much love to you all, and I’ll see you in January. I’m going to have much of two weeks just quiet. Time to be with Hal. Time to meditate. Time to play some games, do some jigsaw puzzles, read some books. Catch up on sleep.

Much love. Thank you to our Zoom hosts for making this possible.
